Muslin is loosely woven and crinkled in the finish, so it sits off the skin and moves a lot of air. It also means it never needs ironing, which is rather the point.

Fabric and care
We wash and tumble dry every fabric before we cut it, so it is already preshrunk by the time it becomes a garment. Wash cold, under 30 degrees, and hang to dry rather than tumble drying, and it will hold its size.
